Why Be Healthy?

My story today is inspired by my beautiful daughter, Ava. She is constantly asking me why I want to be healthy. My response is...."To live FOREVER!" Then I explain that I want to be in the best shape that I can be. Also, working out has always allowed me to clear my mind. Working out is my time to think about my day, make plans, daydream, etc.

When it comes down to it my drive for health and fitness is completely for myself. I want to be happy with how I look and for that reason I get up early and work out every morning and go to judo or the gym at night. Yes, I might seem a little ACTIVE, but if I didn't do this daily I wouldn't feel like myself.

Most recently I completed the 21-Day Fix which allowed me to lose 10 lbs and drop a size.
This transformation provided me with the motivation to kick my work outs into high gear. You'll hear me talking about the 21-Day Fix a lot. It worked for me and it CAN work for you. Once you are mentally ready then it's time to do the work.

No, I'm not perfect. I try not to take the number on the scale to heart. I only weigh myself to make sure I'm staying on track. I do eat things I shouldn't and when I get off track I use the 21-Day Fix to get me headed in the right direction again. When it comes down to it I want to be happy with what I look like based on how my clothes fit and how I look in the mirror.

My kids see how hard I work. They'll work out with me and try to do the same things I'm doing. They see how I TRY to eat healthy. They also see me eat the bad stuff which just shows that I'm human. My hope is that I can provide my kids with a good foundation for their health and fitness. I want them to know that it is an important part of their lives.

Whatever your reason may be to work out, find a plan that works  for you. I hope that in some way I am able to MOTIVATE you!

Let's Get a Beach Body Together

My life has always been driven by health and fitness. Initially my workouts were driven to maintain my status as an elite judo athlete. At an early age I was running and lifting weights. Eventually I got married and had two BEAUTIFUL children. My judo moved to the back burner and my rug rats became my top priority.

I still managed to work out. Once the kids came the gym memberships ended and I created my home gym. My mom says that I am the only one she knows who has a treadmill and uses it. Over time I felt that I could be in better shape and knew I was capable of returning to my pre-baby body.

With this in mind I went back to the gym. I crossed paths with several trainers and was really drawn to the trainers who pushed me to my limits. One of those I met at an Insanity class.  I followed, and still follow the coaches who make me work hard. I enjoy going to a class, being told to do something, think my body can't possible do what they are saying and manage to make it happen. One of my biggest successes came from completing the 21-Day Fix. I was able to lose 10 lbs and it really leaned my body out. I am now happy with how my body has developed and I am driven to be the best version of me that I can be.

If you would have asked me if I wanted to be a Beachbody coach two years ago I would have said I don't want to and I'm not qualified. Now so many people approach me that it seemed only natural that I become a Beachbody coach. This is a new endeavor for me and I hope you will join me on this journey to health and fitness! Let me be your motivator and I will let you be mine!
